How to Prepare Your Child for Rehabilitation at a Clinic

Traveling for treatment is exciting for both parents and child. Proper preparation will make this experience comfortable and productive.

Documents and Medical Information

Prepare in advance:

  • Passport or child's birth certificate
  • Medical records and reports
  • MRI, EEG, and other test results
  • List of current medications
  • What to Pack

    For your child:

  • Favorite toys and books
  • Familiar food for the first days
  • Comfortable clothes for procedures
  • Tablet with cartoons
  • For parents:

  • Comfortable shoes (lots of walking around the clinic)
  • Notebook for writing down doctor's recommendations
  • Supply of regular medications
  • How to Explain to Your Child

    Be honest and positive:

  • "We're going to kind doctors who will help you get stronger"
  • "There will be interesting activities and new toys"
  • "We'll be together, and I'll always be by your side"
  • First Days at the Clinic

The first 2-3 days are an adaptation period. Your child gets used to the new environment while doctors conduct diagnostics and create a treatment plan.

Don't worry if your child is fussy during the first days — it's a normal reaction to a new environment.

Our coordinators will help at every step — from document preparation to returning home.
