Needle-Knife Therapy
A minimally invasive traditional Chinese medicine procedure for releasing adhesions, scar tissue, and reducing muscle spasticity.
How the procedure works
Needle-knife therapy (小针刀, xiao zhen dao) is a unique technique combining principles of traditional Chinese medicine and modern microsurgery. The procedure is performed with a special instrument that allows precise targeting of adhesions, scar tissue, and areas of increased muscle tone. Due to its minimally invasive nature, the procedure is well tolerated by children and does not require extended recovery. Results are noticeable after the first sessions: spasticity decreases and joint range of motion improves. The method is particularly effective in comprehensive rehabilitation of children with CP and post-surgical contractures.
